SAN BERNARDINO, CA – June 3, 2026 – SAC Health, a leading Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Southern California, has been awarded its annual FQHC grant of roughly $3.6 million by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). This crucial funding will directly support community-focused programs and services, ensuring that high-quality healthcare remains accessible to residents across the region, including those who may struggle to afford the cost of a doctor’s visit.

The need for quality healthcare in San Bernardino and the surrounding communities where SAC Health clinics are established is greater than ever. As these areas continue to grow rapidly, so does the demand for dependable, comprehensive medical services. The roughly $3.6 million HRSA grant will serve as a vital resource to meet this increasing demand, allowing SAC Health to sustain its operations and expand its reach to vulnerable and growing populations.

The announcement is celebrated by Representative Pete Aguilar, a longtime champion of several SAC Health programs who was instrumental in helping the organization secure two mobile clinic vehicles to rural communities and other locations where providing the care on site is the best way to reach those who are most vulnerable.

“From dental services to behavioral health and their mobile clinic, SAC Health is a leader in providing quality, affordable and accessible care to people in the Inland Empire,” said Rep. Pete Aguilar (CA-33). “With this grant funding, SAC Health will be able to strengthen and expand services for current patients and those in need, helping to keep families in our community healthy and happy.”

Reiterating the impact of this federal support on patient care, Dr. Jason Lohr emphasized how the grant directly advances the clinic's core daily operations.

"SAC Health is incredibly thankful to HRSA for this annual FQHC grant award of roughly $3.6 million," added Dr. Jason Lohr, CEO of SAC Health. "This crucial funding goes right to the heart of what we do: delivering community-focused care to those who need it most and minimizing the financial barriers that can prevent someone from receiving medical attention."

With multiple clinic locations throughout the Inland Empire, SAC Health provides a wide range of services, including primary care, pediatrics, behavioral health, and specialized medicine. This annual grant reinforces the organization’s ability to act as a critical safety net, providing a medical home where every patient is treated with dignity, regardless of their financial circumstances.
