Our Mission
SAC Health is committed to reflect the healing ministry & love of Jesus Christ through healthcare, education and partnerships that empower our communities to flourish.
Providing comprehensive, quality care to help our community thrive is how we live our mission. Our history of service started more than 65 years ago, when we set out to provide basic health care to underserved populations. Today, our unique full-scope and team-based approach makes SAC Health the provider of choice for patients. Every year, we complete over 180,000 visits and offer 35 specialties providing medical, surgical, dental, and behavioral health services for the families of the Inland Empire and surrounding counties.

Our Vision
Education
SAC Health is the largest specialty-based and teaching health center (THC) FQHC in the nation. Consistent with our mission and values, we provide over 900+ medical residents and students from Loma Linda University a unique opportunity to serve our most vulnerable population which will allow them to continue to be leaders in our community.
Healthcare
SAC Health is recognized as a Level-3 Patient-Centered Medical Home by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). All our physicians are affiliated with Loma Linda University Health, allowing our patients to receive world-class care from providers trained in over 35 different specialties. Our unique model of care allows patients to see integrated behavioral health, dieticians, clinical pharmacists, social workers, and even a chaplain all within the same office visit if needed. This whole-person, full-scope, team-based approach is what makes SAC Health the provider of choice for patients.
Underserved populations require an array of supports that extend beyond our work, and we know that we cannot achieve our mission on our own. Our success is built on building strong partnerships with more than 100 community partners and leveraging the expertise of partner organizations to ensure we provide our patients with whole-person care.

Our History of Service
1960
Social Action Corps began
in the late 190s as an outreach effort from student and staff at Loma Linda University and Medical Center. Over the course of 30 years, these volunteers offered temporary medical clinics in donated spaces with the community.
1992
1992 SAC began to look for a permanent location in the early 1990s and by 1992, Norton Air Force Base was closing and provided an opportunity for SAC to acquire a medical facitliy.
1995
SAC incorporated into a 501(c)(3) community health care corporation and became SAC Health, a three-clinic system of community clinics in the City of San Bernardino.
2012
SAC Health becomes a look-alike Federally Qualified Health Center.
2013
SAC Health receives Teaching Health Center Graduate Medical Education Program designation for Family Medicine, Pediatrics and Psychiatry, resulting in one of the nation's largest programs.
2015
SAC Health becomes a fully Federally Qualified Health Center.
2016
The 150,000 square foot San Bernardino G-street location opens.
Today
35 specialties, 7 locations, over 144,000 visits per year.
