Medi-Cal Redetermination

Keep Your Medi-Cal Coverage. Renew on time and avoid a gap in your care.

We’ll help you every step of the way.

Medi-Cal members must complete the redetermination process each year to confirm they are still eligible for coverage. This process is also commonly referred to as your Medi-Cal renewal.


Did you receive a yellow envelope in the mail?


If so, it may be time to complete your Medi-Cal redetermination. Your county will review your information and let you know if your Medi-Cal was automatically renewed or if additional information is needed.


Completing your redetermination on time can help you avoid a gap in your healthcare coverage.

Complete Your Medi-Cal Redetermination

  • Watch for notices from your county about your Medi-Cal coverage.


    If additional information is needed, you may receive a renewal packet in a yellow envelope. Be sure to open and review any Medi-Cal notices you receive.

  • Make sure your information is current, including:

    -Mailing address

    - Phone number

    - Email address

    - Income

    - Employment

     - Household information

    Keeping your information updated can help make sure you receive important notices about your Medi-Cal coverage.

  • If you receive a renewal packet, complete all required sections and provide any requested information or documents.
     

    You can also visit BenefitsCal.com to manage your benefits, update your information, and complete your Medi-Cal renewal online.

  • Return your completed Medi-Cal redetermination or renewal by the due date listed on your notice.

    Submitting your information on time can help prevent a gap in your healthcare coverage.

  • After your county reviews your information, you will receive a notice letting you know whether your Medi-Cal coverage will continue.

    If your county requests additional information, respond as soon as possible.
